About the role

The Program Director - Culinary Arts oversees all aspects of culinary arts programs at Keiser University. This includes curriculum development, faculty management, student support, and ensuring compliance with educational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive culinary arts curricula that meet industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Manage and mentor a team of culinary instructors, providing professional development opportunities and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to ensure program success and continuous improvement.
  • Provide administrative oversight for culinary labs and facilities, ensuring they are safe and conducive to learning.
  • Oversee recruitment and retention of culinary arts students, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to culinary arts education.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Culinary Arts, Education, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in culinary arts education or related field.
  • Proven track record of successful program development and implementation.
  • Experience in managing faculty and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of culinary arts principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge of culinary arts accreditation standards.
  • Experience with curriculum design and assessment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
