Program Director -ChildWatch

About the role

The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking a Program Director to lead the ChildWatch department and Birthday Party Program at the Twin Lakes Family YMCA in Cedar Park, TX.

Responsibilities

• ChildWatch Program Growth: Increase participation from 5,228 in 2026 to 5,250 in 2027 and 5,370 by 2028.
• Birthday Party Program Growth: Expand Sky Trail birthday parties to 353 in 2026 and continue annual growth in 2027 and 2028. Increase branch birthday parties from 64 in 2026 to 120 annually.
• Budget Management: Meet department revenue, net, payroll ratio, and surplus goals.
• Campus Marketing & Events: Collaborate with branch departments to submit newsletter information, support special events, cross-promote YMCA programs, and support Community Impact Committee goals and initiatives.
• Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and develop quality staff and volunteer leaders. Oversee ChildWatch and Birthday Party program staff.
• Director on Duty responsibilities as assigned.
• Support Strong Kids Campaign and fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Highly motivated, organized, personable, enthusiastic, displaying leadership abilities.
• Experience in supervising or directing programs as a program and/or center director preferred.
• YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification preferred.
• Able to be adaptable, flexible, and enjoy variety in work including weekends and non-business hours.
• Serve as a leader in the Annual Giving campaign and other fundraising initiatives.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

$48,000 - $53,790 DOE
