Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the Career Services department.
- Referrals for MRC/DDS, SEP sites, and in-house communications, training, and meetings.
- Supervision of all department staff including staff meetings, supervision meetings, annual evaluations, and tracking mandated training.
- Ensure opportunities for individuals with disabilities have the ability to participate in vocational evaluations by way of SEP sites and other community resources.
- Work with employment team members to focus on obtaining outcome-based goals while expanding contacts and business with MRC, DDS and local school systems.
- Track placement referrals and purchase orders, increase business contacts, and assist with interviews and job coaching as needed.
- Complete all monthly/quarterly/annual reports in accordance with MRC and DDS guidelines.
- Attend all mandatory MRC/DDS meetings with prepared data and budget information.
- Submit department payroll.
- Submit department individual monthly attendance and billing.
- Adhere to agency safety protocols.
- Provide on-the-job training and supervision to individuals in a 1:1 or group format at community-based, business locations, and OPTS (day program) centers.
- Cooperate and interact with co-workers, members, volunteers, and funders in a collaborative, courteous, empathic, and professional manner.
- Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
- Five years’ experience in vocational rehabilitation and two years’ management experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
- Flexible with schedule.
- Successful completion of all state and agency mandated training.
- Willingness to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
- Able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
