Program Director
Primary Duties
- Plan and direct daily activities of one or more programs (project #) of substantive size and budget.
- Direct the preparation, coordination, and maintenance of the program content and delivery methods for the operations within that specific University program.
- Plan and coordinate daily activities of a program including monitoring relationships of outside agencies or subcontractors.
- Manage budget, including approving finances, tracking expenditures, and preparing reports on current finances.
- Oversee databases used to analyze criteria and deliver data, as well as to monitor, evaluate, and recommend to senior management revisions to program operating policies and procedures.
- Plan data management and communication strategy for program.
- Work with senior management in developing program goals and milestones.
- Organize and/or participate in various committees and teams to consult with program heads and administrative officials on policy and program needs as well as various administrative issues.
- Cook up regular publication of summary reports and serves as an information resource to coworkers, the university, and external figures.
- Develop funding sources for the program, through grant seeking, major fundraising events and/or donations.
- May interact with students and facilitate resolution through technical and/or clerical personnel.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Six (6) years of program oversight including program planning, budget, and coordination.
- Certification/Licensure: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
