Program Director

This position is for a Program Director, IDD Services.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of one to four community programs, including organization and implementation of direct supports, person‑centered planning, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
• Supervise program staff members, conduct performance evaluations, create schedules, and provide orientation.
• Make recommendations and decisions regarding employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.
• Oversee program planning implementation; monitor delivery of services and supports to ensure they are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served.
• Remain on‑call to support staff, find coverage, or cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and two to three years of related experience in the Human Services industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Additional education, experience, training, licensure, or certification as required by state regulations.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for managing relationships.
• Reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.
