About the role

The Program Director provides management, oversight, and leadership in compliance with regulations and contractual relationships, aligning with Community Services Group's (CSG) mission and core values. This position supports adult mental health residential programs located primarily in Lancaster County.

The Program Director is a member of the company's leadership team, a resource for Mental Health (MH) or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Services, and participates in other operating committees as assigned. This role reports directly to the Senior Program Director or designee.

Responsibilities

  • Manages program and employees in compliance with company policies, procedures, and all regulatory standards.
  • Monitors delivery of services to maintain quality of care and oversees incident management and follow-up.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations related to employee qualifications and training requirements.
  • Approves employee leaves and schedules, and authorizes or assigns overtime.
  • Serves as a primary representative to all outside agencies.
  • Develops program budget and monitors financial growth of the program.
  • Supervises location operations and oversees program policies and procedures.
  • Interviews, hires, and plans, manages, and directs the work of employees.
  • Oversees program employees to provide quality training, supervision, coaching, performance management, and guidance.
  • Establishes, builds, and sustains professional contacts to support networks of people with similar goals.
  • Identifies and addresses problems and provides feedback as needed.
  • Ensures the environment is structured and responsive to the identified needs of those being served.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills in administration and supervision of a multidisciplinary workforce.
  • Oversees billing and manages referrals.
  • Provides program outcomes and monitoring reports to stakeholders.
  • Consults with program psychiatrist or other delegated professionals regarding clinical, medical, and programmatic issues.
  • Participates in quality assurance/quality management (QM) activities related to the programs specified in the QM plan.
  • Develops program policy and coordinates it with overall company and program goals, directs daily operations, evaluates results, and recommends changes.
  • Maintains 24/7 availability to employees to minimize emergencies and ensure constant, effective care.
  • Commits to learning and modeling the five principles of trauma-informed care: safety, choice, collaboration, trustworthiness, and empowerment.
  • Promotes cultural, racial, language, and gender access, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a generally recognized clinical discipline, two years of mental health clinical experience, and must be registered, licensed, or certified to practice if the profession is governed by a registration, licensing, or certification board in this Commonwealth. A Bachelor's degree may be considered in combination with considerable supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings and meetings.
  • Knowledge of assessment procedures and the development of individualized goal plans.
  • Knowledge of the prevention, detection, or treatment of MH or IDD.
  • Knowledge of professional and voluntary MH or IDD organizations.
  • Ability to manage an entire component or a variety of functions involving different components of MH or IDD.

Pay

$68,640 annually, with additional compensation based on experience and education.

Schedule

Full-time, flexible hours mostly Monday through Friday with weekends and on-call as needed.
