About the role

The role is a full-time position at an Alpha campus in Austin, TX or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities

  • Coaching both Guides and students through performance data analysis, classroom observation, and direct feedback, then holding each group accountable to defined, measurable objectives
  • Leading one-hour live workshops for K-3 students covering life skills including public speaking, focus, collaboration, resilience, accountability, and feedback exchange
  • Conducting individual and small-group motivational sessions that link each child's personal goals and interests to tangible academic achievement
  • Developing and refining playbooks that translate your most effective practices into replicable systems other Guides can implement reliably
  • Training Guides on these playbooks and demonstrating excellence in facilitation to maintain standards as the team expands

Requirements

  • Available to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Austin, TX or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with elementary-aged children
  • Experience leading a team of 5 or more individuals, with hiring and termination authority based on performance results
  • Experience building, launching, or substantially growing a program, team, school, or initiative from scratch, rather than managing an established one
  • Comfortable operating in a school environment that rejects conventional teaching methods
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or a related discipline
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (nice-to-have)
  • Demonstrated history of using metrics, dashboards, or analytics to identify issues and produce measurable improvements
  • Experience coaching or managing other adults to achieve measurable results, beyond executing the work personally
  • Background in youth development, camp leadership, competitive coaching, tutoring, or enrichment programs where motivation played a central role
  • Confidence and proficiency facilitating sessions or speaking publicly before groups of young children
