Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop coordinate, and maintain collaborative relationships with adult schools, community-based organizations, governmental agencies, employers, and other external partners to support student access, enrollment, equity, and success initiatives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement outreach activities, events, presentations, workshops, and engagement opportunities that promote awareness of Ohlone College programs, services, educational opportunities, and student support resources.
  • Monitor equity and outreach allocations and assist with implementing programs in accordance with applicable program, grant, and funding requirements; collect and compile data to support compliance, evaluation, and reporting requirements.
  • Perform various administrative tasks related to budget management, purchasing, processing invoices, payroll, and other fiscal activities associated with equity and outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain an annual calendar of outreach, equity, and student success activities; collaborate with campus departments and community organizations to coordinate programs, services, and events.
  • Cook up meetings, communications, and logistical support related to equity and outreach initiatives; prepare agendas, maintain records, and support project implementation activities.
  • Assist with the collection, analysis, and maintenance of data related to outreach activities, student participation, program outcomes, and effectiveness; prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage assigned projects and events; coordinate volunteers, student workers, and department participants; make presentations on campus and represent Ohlone College at community events, educational fairs, workshops, partnership meetings, and other public-facing activities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and other materials; ensure the timely submission of required information and documentation.
  • Supervise, train, and provide direction to student workers and volunteers as assigned.
  • Effectively engage and support historically underserved and disproportionately impacted student populations by promoting equitable access to programs, services, educational opportunities, and resources.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, ethnic, and linguistic backgrounds of students, employees, and community members.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and community partners.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license and the ability to travel to schools, community organizations, outreach events, and other locations throughout the College service area.
  • Must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices.
