Work Schedule: Typically, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; occasional evenings and/or weekends for special projects.
About the Role
The Program Coordinator supports the undergraduate business programs in the School of Business at Eastern Washington University. This position coordinates and performs functions related to assigned programs, exercises independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and procedures, and advises students, staff, and the public on program content, policies, and activities. The role reports to the Director of Graduate Programs and works closely with faculty and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Program Coordination (30%)
- Maintain relevant website and marketing materials, including flyer creation, program announcements, and quarterly advertisements.
- Manage social media and Canvas pages.
- Facilitate dissemination of program information.
- Track student enrollments and progress.
- Assist in writing, completing, and presenting reports, special projects, and program updates.
- Provide programmatic support to the Director, including work related to program development, marketing, and implementation.
- Plan and implement student orientations, informational talks, and workshops.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Admissions Support (25%)
- Assist with student application, admission, registration processes, and progression through the program.
- Provide general education advising.
- Conduct initial meetings with students and refer to appropriate major programs for program-specific advising.
- Assist students in accessing services on the main EWU campus and Spokane campus.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of experience coordinating and fulfilling tasks related to program operations, including the use of specialized knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, develop, oversee, organize, implement, evaluate outcomes, and modify tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills, including a culturally responsive and flexible approach sensitive to the needs of students, faculty, administrators, and community partners.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong working relationships both within and external to the organization.
- Competency in computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, databases, forms, and calendar applications), with a willingness to learn emerging platforms.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and databases.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a culturally responsive and flexible approach supportive of diverse needs, including universal access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- Working experience with business programs.

Pay
$45,768.00 – $59,580.00 annually. Placement within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills.
