Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator will lead the efforts for recruitment and retention of the PhD students. Research and publications are expected for tenure and promotion. Other areas of responsibility include support with curriculum development; participate in departmental and college-wide activities and committees, such as, grant writing, assessment, faculty development, mentoring student projects, and academic advisement.
Requirements
- Master's of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing preferred.
- Must hold a current or be eligible for an unencumbered license to practice nursing in Maryland, Washington, DC, or a compact state.
- Strong preference will be given to candidates with didactic experience in the main area of teaching at the collegiate level.
- A strong, demonstrated record of clinical expertise, experience with assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes is required.
- Expertise in nursing care throughout the lifespan is required.
- Experiences with nursing recruitment and retention.
Qualifications
- Experience with total program evaluation and accreditation preferred.
- Evidence of an active record of scholarship and service at the program, department and university levels preferred.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
