About the Role

The Program Coordinator – JD Externship Program provides administrative and operational support for the JD Externship Program. The role supports faculty and law students, coordinates program activities, communicates with external organizations, and helps ensure the smooth operation of student externship placements.

Location: Vermont, United States
Work Arrangement: Hybrid / On-campus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support JD Externship Program operations.
  • Support planning and organization of program events and student information sessions.
  • Track the program budget and maintain program records.
  • Manage the program email account.
  • Provide administrative support to faculty.
  • Draft reports, newsletters, press releases, website content, and social media communications.
  • Proofread and edit reports and communications.
  • Collaborate with departments, faculty, students, and external organizations.
  • Maintain and develop the database of student placement opportunities.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for external organizations seeking information.
  • Support students in their search for externship placements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities assigned by the Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2–4 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to track deadlines and complete projects on time.
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, faculty, students, and the public.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Pay

$22–$27 per hour

Schedule

Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
