About the role

The Program Coordinator oversees the daily operation of ABCD’s Community Prevention Programs, delivering prevention and risk-reduction education to target populations in Boston. The role ensures program activities align with goals, objectives, and funder guidelines while conducting evidence-based interventions and evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily oversight and monitoring of program activities to ensure fidelity to program models and compliance with funding guidelines.
  • Conduct evidence-based group and individual-level interventions with the target population.
  • Develop and implement outreach, recruitment, and marketing strategies to increase community and participant awareness of services.
  • Conduct program evaluation and data collection activities according to the program evaluation plan and funder guidelines.
  • Support peer-driven community events in targeted Boston neighborhoods, partnering with organizations to recruit participants.
  • Train and supervise volunteers, including leading monthly program meetings.
  • Train staff at participating venue sites, including social media and marketing activities.
  • Monitor programs through online data reporting and progress reporting in accordance with funding guidelines and deadlines.
  • Perform administrative tasks specific to the program in line with agency guidelines.
  • Ensure all educational materials are approved, evidence-based, and compliant with funder requirements.
  • Prepare progress reports and assist in developing grant applications.
  • Represent ABCD Health Services at community, professional, and internal meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in health education, counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • One to three years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct individual education and counseling sessions.
  • Excellent knowledge of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STI prevention, sexual health, reproductive health, and family planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in community health education and outreach strategies, including street, venue-based, and social media outreach.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work sensitively with diverse populations, particularly communities of color.
  • Strong group facilitation skills and experience working with various curricula.
  • Flexibility in work hours and locations.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs and the internet.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Pay

Expected salary: $55,255.20 annually ($30.36/hour) USD. Salary is set according to an explicit compensation policy and relevant market data, with firm offers aligned to role duties and internal parity.
