Pay

$3,591.00 - $5,078.50 Monthly
Range 134 of the CSEA Salary Schedule

Schedule

  • Monday – Thursday: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Schedule and shift are subject to change in accordance with the department's needs
  • Hours Per Week: 20 (50% of full-time)
  • Months: 12

About the Role

Under general direction from an appropriate level manager or administrator, serve as the coordinator for the AANAPISI (Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution) Program. Provide professional-level program support and services, including administrative and management duties. Develop and maintain relationships with other organizations and schools. Plan, coordinate, and implement assigned operations and activities of the program office.

Employment in this position is contingent upon funding.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of assigned aspects of the program; ensure compliance with all program requirements including grant requirements.
  • Plan, design, and implement program elements that support service delivery; participate in processes to define scope and schedule of services and activities; oversee and participate in implementation processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between the program area and the general public, students, staff, and other campus and community officials and groups.

Requirements

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Education/Training

Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, or a related field.

Experience

Three years of increasingly responsible professional experience related to the program area of assignment.

Knowledge of

  • Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures related to the area of assignment.
  • District and College organization, operations, policies, and objectives.

Ability to

  • Learn and understand the organization and operation of the assigned department as necessary to assume assigned responsibilities.
  • Understand, explain, and apply administrative and office policies and procedures as well as pertinent laws, codes, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Work within the policies, functions, and requirements of the area of assignment; assure compliance with State and federal laws and District policies.

License or Certificate

A valid California driver’s license and proof of insurability may be required for some positions to drive a District or personal vehicle to attend meetings or pick up/deliver documents or other materials.
