About the role

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all aspects of a Site-Based program in Cabarrus County, and enrollment and matching in our Community Based mentoring programs. This role reports to the Cabarrus County Area Director.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate volunteer and Little recruitment
  • Work with workplace partners and school partnerships
  • Enroll youth and volunteers in the program
  • Maintain Records
  • Provide ongoing match support
  • Assess volunteer to BBBSCC
  • Maintain accurate and timely records for each match according to standards and utilize technology to report, synthesize, and analyze data.
  • Identify program and organizational issues
  • Collect program outcome measurements, demographics & program statistics
  • Oversee student intern in collaboration with Site Based Manager and Intern Field Service Manager
  • Determine matches and facilitate match meetings
  • Accommodate volunteer and family schedules

Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree in social services, education, human resources, or related field
  • Experience working with both child and adult populations; specific assessment, intake, or interview experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and meet state-required automobile insurance minimum

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills reflecting solid customer service and high-level interviewing skills
  • Ability to form appropriate assessment based relationships
  • Relate well in multicultural environments
  • Maintain confidentiality throughout daily operations
  • Time management with attention to detail
  • Must have a high level of organizational skills
  • Experience and knowledge of managing volunteers
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Knowledge of child safety indicators
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual a plus

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Stationary Position
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time
  • Traverse
  • Must be able to move about the inside of the office
  • Communicate
  • Must be able to exchange accurate communication
  • Operate
  • Must be able to operate office productivity machinery (computer, copier, etc.)
  • Lift
  • Must be able to lift office equipment up to 25 pounds
