Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Answer office telephone in a courteous and professional manner.
- Issue and initial receipts for donations received (Dollar amount only included if donation is monetary).
- Report problems in writing to Director.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of clients’ information.
- Ensure all residents abide by house rules and enforce curfew hours and house schedule.
- Maintain an updated time log of all activities, periodically make bed checks, monitor the facility, and conduct spot checks.
- Place business calls for clients who do not have phone access.
- Monitor client’s participation, activity and volunteer work in house and record this information on the master roster.
- Prior to wake-up call, make rounds outside the office, dorms, and parking lot to prevent possible theft of company property as well as inspecting for anything out of the ordinary.
- Contact the proper authorities in the event of an emergency; the point of contact these situations.
- Keep work area clean and orderly while maintaining a professional attitude at all times.
- Clean windows, floors, restroom in common areas: lobby, office, cafeteria and hallway.
- Keep hallways and doorways clear at all times.
- Secure building after curfew and make irregular, frequent rounds throughout the remainder of shift to assure adequate security.
- Inspect grounds periodically for cleanliness and safety.
- Work with Director to ensure compliance to various contracts with local area hospitals, private organizations and governments.
- Accomplish various tasks and responsibilities as assigned by various site supervisors.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, and/or pull objects.
- Ability to reach overhead.
- Ability to operate a telephone.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. for administrative positions.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Ability to process written, visual, and/or verbal information.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment and tools, including but not limited to staplers, 3-hole punch, etc.
