Program Associate, SF Diller Teen Fellows (Part-Time)
About the Organization
The Jewish Federation Bay Area is the largest funder of Jewish causes in California, connecting donors, changemakers, and community partners to build a thriving, resilient future. The Federation invests in education, social services, and security while mobilizing crisis relief worldwide. With over a century of leadership, it empowers individuals and families to give strategically and shape a better tomorrow.
Diller Teen Fellows is an immersive experiential education program for 11th graders, designed to inspire and promote engagement and leadership among Jewish youth. Launched in San Francisco in 1998, the program now spans 32 communities across seven countries. Sponsored locally by the Helen Diller Family Foundation and the Federation, it focuses on Jewish identity building, leadership skills, Israel exploration, and community service.
Each year, 20 Bay Area teens participate in a 12-month program alongside 20 peers from the Upper Galilee region of Israel. The experience includes 14 Sunday workshops, 3 weekend retreats, social action projects, a 10-day hosting opportunity for Israeli peers, and a 3-week Israel Summer Seminar.
