Essential Functions
- Cook up the on-campus functions of the Summer Youth Employment Training Program (SYETP).
- Coordinate the TA/Tutor/Mentor Schedule and serve as the go-between for TAs/Tutors/Mentors/Instructors and the Program Director.
- Help plan and organize the summer program, which includes arranging field trips, securing classrooms and special event rooms.
- Distribute and keep track of student and instructor supplies, as well as student bus tickets.
- Create and maintain all necessary summer files related to program services and activities, like attendance records and supply inventories.
- Participate in planning and executing the formal summer training program.
- Assist with the onboarding process for summer staff.
- Update evaluations, distribute them, collect data, and report on evaluation results.
- Handle other tasks as directed by the Director.
Additional Functions
- Assist with monitoring and escorting students.
Prerequisite Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.
- Strong organizational skills.
Salary Information
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the hourly range for this position is $20.00-$40.00 (USD).
NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, or other items.
