The Program Assistant will be directly responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Steuben Prevention Coalition Opioid Committee whose purpose is to strengthen collaboration and increase capacity building among communities and reduce substance abuse among youth and adults.
Responsibilities
- Oversees specific project implementation of the Steuben Prevention Coalition Opioid Committee’s activities including but not limited to membership, recruitment, orientation, tracking of each and leadership nominations.
- Collects and analyzes monthly data to inform the community of the committee’s accomplishments, concerns, needs and project outcomes; prepares reports and shares best practices with multi‑sector stakeholders.
- Engages multi‑sector partners from health care, public health, health insurers, community‑based organizations, local/state government, education, nonprofit, business, and more to the work of the Committee.
- Assists the Chair and Co‑Chair in facilitating the Opioid Committee and/or any subcommittees meetings created under the Opioid Committee.
- Attends meetings of the organizations and coalitions related to the mission and goals of the Opioid Committee.
