Responsibilities
- Research project management: Assist with the development of grant proposals, coordinate multistate research projects, acquire resources and supplies to various research projects, and develop and update inventories.
- Administrative support: Assist with various paperwork necessary for hiring personnel, handle email/phone communications, manage funding accounts, verify and submit receipts, arrange logistics for visitors, organize group meetings, and provide administrative support.
- Research communication: Prepare reports by coordinating with students and staff, assist with the development of videos and other communication media, and manage and update program website and social media pages.
Requirements
- Required Education: BS in Agriculture or related field
- Required Experience: Previous experience on roles indicated in the job responsibilities section is preferred, but not required
Qualifications
- Preferred Education: MS in Agriculture or related field
- Preferred Experience: Experience with research project management, research communication, administrative assistance, data summary, report preparation, and communication. Background in agricultural research methodology.
- Preferred Licenses and Certifications: Pesticide Applicator’s License
Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
