SUMMARY

The Program Assistant, Nursing Data is responsible for maintaining program databases and systems and serves as an information resource for all nursing students and staff as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manages departmental databases, college systems, external evaluation tools utilized by the School of Nursing
  • Collections data from primary or secondary sources for entering into School of Nursing database and associated systems
  • Enters program data into systems and spreadsheets for programmatic use, accreditation compliance, and decision making
  • Maintains the accuracy and integrity of program data in compliance with accreditation standards
  • Analyzes gathered data on a regular basis for program evaluation in conjunction with School of Nursing leadership
  • Affords assistance in the creation of presentations and communication materials to key stakeholders, including accreditation reports, executive summaries, and grant documents
  • Affords assistance with ensuring student and faculty compliance and on-boarding as required by the clinical agencies through data compilation and analysis
  • Maintains and actively utilizes the nursing database for student management and addressing student inquiries, including but not limited to textbooks, digital tools, and Brightspace
  • Provides training, support, and technical assistance to internal and external partners
  • Maintains and submits associated and assigned reports as needed
  • Affords assistance with walk-in students and answers student inquires as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in a related field
  • Significant related experience may substitute for education
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience with software programming, report generation, developing databases, data entry
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, interpretation, and compilation for reporting
  • Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team
  • Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem-solving methods in a variety of situations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated higher education experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Ad Astra
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Banner System
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office (Specifically Excel)
