Program Assistant I, University Libraries
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of library employee hiring, onboarding and personnel processes
- Serve as a liaison between the dean of libraries and internal and external constituencies
- Coordinate the libraries’ campus/public-facing events
- Develop and maintain administrative policies
- Ensure and carry out library-wide information management
- Support administrative processes related to grants and externally-funded projects and programs
Requirements
Knowledge and experience with, or willingness to learn USD and SDBOR Human Resources and Payroll systems, policies and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Effective written and spoken communication skills.
Experience in using Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with or an interest in event planning.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of relevant experience preferred.

Pay
Starting rate $21.41; commensurate with qualifications.
Schedule
Hybrid work is an option. Based at I.D. Weeks Library on the USD campus in Vermillion, SD. Monday-Friday, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm. Some evenings or weekends may be required.
