General Responsibilities

  • Serve as support for the HCC Foundation Board of Directors and committees, scheduling meetings, communicating with committee chairs, and preparing information for directors and their meetings.
  • Aid in updating the HCC Foundation Board Policy Manual.
  • Avoid preparing purchase requisitions, Foundation event financial reports, and procurement card statements for both the Community Partnerships and Foundation departments.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of Community Partnership events, including but not limited to Breakfast at Heartland, Elevate Heartland, Service Day, and Commencement.
  • Provide support during Foundation events, and other assistance as appropriate.
  • Assist in welcoming and providing support to external rental guests, as needed.
  • In addition, assist with event follow-up and invoicing.
  • Aid in Alumni outreach and correspondence as directed by the supervisor.
  • Maintain the front office, as well as the supplies for the Community Partnerships and Foundation.
  • Afford assistance with special projects as assigned, including those requiring evening and/or weekend hours.
  • Afford assistance in updating the website for the Community Partnerships and Foundation.

Requirements

  • Ace an associate degree or equivalent experience/education.
  • Show excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Show experience in successfully organizing and managing the details of multiple diverse tasks simultaneously.
  • Show familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Show demonstrated ability to problem-solve, take initiative, and work independently.
  • Show ability to work effectively and inclusively within a diverse campus community, including with donors, Board members, employees, and other community members.
  • Show availability to work occasional evenings and weekend hours for special events.

Desired Qualifications

  • Show familiarity with Raisers Edge fundraising software.
  • Show familiarity with 25Live software.
  • Show familiarity with LiveAlumni software.
  • Show experience with event planning.
  • Show experience working with a non-profit board.
