About the Role
The Impact Center for Community Development & Inclusion at Bryn Mawr College implements programs and activities aimed at addressing issues of diversity, power, and privilege. The center works to improve the campus climate and enhance community life by advancing anti-racism, wellness, welcome, and belonging for all students.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and data support to the Impact Center.
- Support a team of Student Life administrators, with a portion of the role dedicated to International Student and Scholar Services Advising.
- Use a variety of project management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Manage calls, emails, and inquiries to the Impact Center.
- Schedule appointments for Impact Center staff.
- Maintain all Impact Center budgetary records and provide regular budget reports to Impact Center administrators.
- Pay invoices and process reimbursements and honorariums, including reimbursements for student organizations and student program coordinators.
- Keep public areas tidy and organized.
- Oversee daily functions of department space (distributes incoming mail, and packages, etc.).
- Act as a liaison with Facilities and Housekeeping departments regarding maintenance.
- Order supplies for the entire department and all Impact Center-affiliated programs.
- Coordinate hiring of student office staff and student coordinators for the Impact Center.
- Track and manage biweekly payroll for Impact Center-hired student workers.
- Manage and provide oversight to Student Social Media Coordinator.
- Maintain and update websites and social media accounts for The Impact Center.
- Co-administer the email list-servs for assigned groups and department areas.
- Provide organizational and event support for major programs and services offered by the Impact Center.
- Support selection processes for the Impact Center Fellowship, the Dr. Hayley S. Thomas Prize, Community Diversity Assistants, Student Coordinators, and other activities as assigned.
- Supports affinity groups with budget planning and tracking.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed, including some evening and weekend responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or two years of relevant experience required.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
- Basic understanding of systemic inequities, diverse identities, and how to create inclusive environments that support belonging and welcome.
- Ability to work and act independently.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and to flex those priorities as demands change.
- Ability to support multiple team members and to coordinate with student staff to accomplish tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience maintaining budgetary records, creating reports, and in general financial recordkeeping.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, databases, web content management systems, Zoom video conferencing, online ordering and record keeping software, and demonstrated ability to learn to use Workday software.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cordial working relationships with people inside and outside the College.
- Excellent writing, speaking, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to understand the importance and complexities of following regulations and maintaining College compliance requirements and relevant regulations.

This full-time, non-exempt position has an anticipated schedule of 35 hours per week, year-round (1,820 hours annualized).
