Position Purpose: To provide programmatic and operational support for the office, with a primary focus on event logistics and execution, financial and procurement operations, support for internship funding efforts and serving as a central point of contact for students and visitors.
About the Role
Description: The Center for Career Design is a hub for students exploring careers, making connections, and figuring out their next steps. Our team uses life design and a human-centered approach to help students make sense of their options and take action when they’re ready. This role provides programmatic and operational support for the office, with a primary focus on event logistics and execution, financial and procurement operations, support for internship funding efforts and serving as a central point of contact for students and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus 1-3 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in event coordination, program administration, or operations support
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience maintaining data tracking systems and records; Experience with Airtable preferred
- Knowledge of financial and procurement processes, including purchasing, reimbursements, invoicing, and budget tracking
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience corresponding with diverse stakeholders
- Prioritized ability to work independently, take initiative, and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a welcoming, responsive experience in a student- or customer-facing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a higher education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizational environment
- Experience supporting internship, career development, or experiential learning programs
- Comfort with event technology tools, including AV setup, virtual meeting platforms, and event registration systems
