Program Analyst (Informatics)

Qualifications

Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.

Qualifying Specialized Experience

• Communicating among stakeholders to facilitate and support organizational change
• Applying a wide range of established practices - theories - and emerging information in relation to health care delivery - informatics - and applications
• Independently completing analytical projects related to process improvement
• Knowledge and use of national database architecture and file structure

• Supports comprehension of and adaptation to organizational updates
• Guides the evolution of clinical software and processes
• Develops software enhancements and guides process improvement activities
• Ensures clinical input in the development and management of the VHA business architecture
• Tests and reports on errors found when working with systems and applications
• End-to-end evaluation of workflows - identification of issues - development of solutions based on best practice guidelines - and resolution of changes to maintain and optimize processes
