About the role
The Program Analyst/Business Analyst will bridge business needs and technical execution within complex federal programs, translating operational requirements into structured, actionable deliverables. Key responsibilities include coordinating release planning activities, facilitating cross-functional meetings, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and translate business and operational requirements into clear, structured product and program deliverables.
- Support release planning activities, including coordination of schedules, task definition, and identification of dependencies and gaps across workstreams.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings, working groups, and steering committees, ensuring action items are tracked and resolved effectively.
- Maintain and manage Agile/Jira and Confluence workflows for requirements, backlog management, and release documentation.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews following releases, documenting outcomes, effectiveness, and lessons learned.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and recommending enhancements based on stakeholder input.
- Collaborate with program leadership to align product requirements with operational objectives and mission needs.
- Maintain comprehensive program documentation libraries and track progress against defined operational goals.
- Aid in business process improvement efforts across federal program environments.
- Contribute to program strategy, release planning documentation, and governance deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting federal programs, product management, or business analysis functions.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Past experience supporting release planning, requirements gathering, and large-scale program coordination.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to structure complex information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and logically.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to remain composed and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain DHS suitability or public trust clearance.
