Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include clinical care (including supervision of residents and students). The successful applicant will also help to provide interdisciplinary training, community engagement, and scholarly activities (e.g., clinical, translational, quality, or community research).

This position serves as Chief of Pediatric Pulmonology, Allergy/Immunology, and Sleep Medicine. Supervision of residents and fellows. There is an opportunity to build a Pulmonology Institute.

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION: MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of seven (7) years of post-fellowship experience with progressive leadership responsibilities. Distinguished record of clinical excellence, scholarly achievement and administrative success. Demonstrated success in leading collaborative, multidisciplinary teams. National reputation in pediatric pulmonary care, research or education preferred. Experience leading or developing advanced programs (e.g., CF care center, sleep labs, aerodigestive programs) preferred.
  • LICENSES: Board-certified in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. Must be able to obtain a State of Tennessee medical license.
