About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Professional Truck Driver role based out of Sikeston, MO. The driver will operate company trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently to assigned destinations, following all traffic laws, company policies, and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Monitor cargo and secure loads.
  • Complete delivery documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with dispatch.
  • Plan routes and manage driving time and rest periods.
  • Maintain a clean and well-kept vehicle.
  • Interact with customers and facility staff professionally to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Prioritize safety at all times.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A (or appropriate) Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a clean driving record, with the ability to meet all DOT and local regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience as a professional truck driver or in a similar commercial driving role, including familiarity with long-haul and regional routes.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures, cargo securement, hours-of-service regulations, and basic vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Ability to read and understand delivery instructions, manifests, and route plans, and to use GPS or routing tools effectively.
  • Reliable work habits, punctuality, and the capacity to manage time and schedules independently while meeting delivery deadlines.
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, operations staff, and customers, and for reporting issues clearly and promptly.
  • Physical ability to sit for extended periods, climb in and out of vehicles, and handle light to moderate loading or unloading tasks as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional driver safety training or certifications are a plus.
  • Willingness to comply with regular drug and alcohol testing, background checks, and ongoing safety training.
