Professional Structural Engineer - Development

POSITION INFORMATION

DGL is looking for an experienced civil/structural engineer to join their Development Division. This position requires coordination across multiple disciplines.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as engineer of record in charge of structural projects.
• Perform and oversee structural design and plan production.
• Work closely with and instruct staff engineers and CAD technicians to prepare drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with outside engineers and architects on project requirements.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and respond to construction questions.
• Provide input and collaborate on improving DGL standards and procedures.
• Engage in meetings with clients and technical organizations to develop business opportunities.

Skill Set

• Experience in structural steel, reinforced and unreinforced concrete, and masonry design.
• Recent experience with building codes and structural standards/regulations.
• Current experience with STAAD, RISA 3D, or RAM Elements (preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with Revit experience a plus.
• Well-organized and proficient in time management.
• Professional demeanor and effective communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to travel for project completion.
