It addresses the need for effective workplace communication, interpersonal development, and leadership skills within federal agencies through targeted, practical training programs.About the OpportunityThe Professional Skills Training Instructor delivers engaging professional skills, communications, and leadership training to federal employees and supervisors. This role facilitates interactive learning experiences designed to strengthen workplace communication, interpersonal effectiveness, and leadership capabilities while supporting the professional development and organizational effectiveness of federal teams.Responsibilities• Deliver engaging, interactive instructor-led training sessions.• Facilitate discussions, exercises, role-plays, and group activities that support learning objectives.• Develop and maintain training materials, including presentations, agendas, handouts, and related resources.• Conduct training both in person and virtually using platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Skype, and Adobe Connect.• Apply adult-learning principles to create effective and engaging training experiences.• Ensure instructional materials comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements.• Administer participant evaluations and use feedback to improve future training sessions.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.• Minimum 8 years of experience delivering professional skills, communications, leadership, or soft-skills training to adult learners.• Experience teaching one or more relevant professional skills or communications course topics, or equivalent content.• Strong presentation, facilitation, and group engagement skills.• Experience working with federal, DoD, military, or similar professional audiences preferred.• Proficiency with virtual training platforms and interactive online facilitation.• Ability to develop effective instructional materials and training resources.• Knowledge of adult-learning principles and instructional best practices.• Preferred: Corporate training or instructional design certification.• Preferred: Credentials such as CPTD or MBTI.• Preferred: Experience training supervisors, managers, or other leadership audiences.Pay Range and Compensation Package• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.Benefits & Perks• Flexible work-from-home options available.
