The Professional Services Engineer plays a critical role in supporting clients by providing expert guidance and technical assistance on security products throughout the duration of service agreements. This position ensures the effective operation and integration of security solutions, enhancing client security posture and satisfaction. The role contributes to the organization's mission by facilitating successful deployment, maintenance, and optimization of security products for end users.
Responsibilities
- Assist client staff with daily operation and support of security products
- Develop methods of procedure for migrations, upgrades, and updates
- Create test plans and validate new features or releases
- Verify configurations and implement best practices
- Evaluate interoperability of devices interacting with security products
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to client personnel
- Maintain expertise on the product line and related technologies
- Resolve or escalate technical issues promptly
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years experience in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support, or administration
- At least 5 years experience with network security products
- Minimum 2 years experience with the company’s security products
- Experience as a Professional Services Consultant or Engineer is advantageous
- Strong understanding of networking and security principles and technologies including switching, routing, load balancing, WiFi, firewall, IPS, VPN, antivirus, antispam, web filtering, and application control
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and project changes
- Strong interpersonal skills and political sensitivity to facilitate project success
- Self-driven with a commitment to quality
- Willingness to travel as required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related experience
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Pay
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000 to $203,000. Role eligibility for equity participation and discretionary bonuses. Salary offers depend on factors including candidate qualifications, experience, and location.
