About the role

Become a catalyst for change in the mechanical and sheet metal industries. As a Technical Training Consultant at Trimble, you will help contractors move from traditional methods to high-efficiency digital workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Classroom: Facilitate high-energy, interactive training sessions for groups of estimators, helping them master Trimble AutoBid through virtual and in-person instruction.

  • Architect Custom Workflows: Analyze client business goals to design and implement bespoke software setups that solve complex operational challenges.

  • Empower Industry Pros: Guide mechanical and sheet metal contractors in integrating advanced estimating technology into their daily lives to maximize productivity.

  • Influence Product Innovation: Act as the voice of the customer by collaborating with development teams to provide feedback that shapes the future of AutoBid.

Requirements

  • Estimating Expertise: Proven track record as an estimator within the construction industry.

  • AutoBid Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Trimble AutoBid Mechanical or Sheet Metal estimating software.

  • Engaging Facilitator: 2+ years of experience leading classroom or technical training and can explain complex concepts to any audience.

  • Consulting Mindset: 2+ years of software consulting experience with a knack for analyzing business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Four-year degree in construction or engineering (a plus).

  • Experience utilizing AI and modern productivity tools to enhance training delivery (a plus).

  • Background as a certified journeyperson or technologist (a plus).

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective solutions.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Pay

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
