Responsibilities

  • Build AI Assistants: Help create and train custom AI assistants using tools such as Gemini GEMS or similar specifically tailored to inspect loan files.
  • Audit the AI: Spot-check loan files already approved by the AI to catch missed errors ("false negatives") and ensure the model maintains a high level of accuracy.
  • Analyze Performance: Monitor AI trends, findings, and confidence scores to spot systemic risks, offering strategic recommendations to management to refine the AI models.
  • Design Workflows: Build automated quality workflows to track performance and flag defects.
  • Manage Escalations: Create and manage protocols for handling complex loan exceptions that the AI flags for human review.
  • Fix Root Causes: Lead deep-dive root cause analysis on high-risk defects using Lean Six Sigma tools (including GEMBA walks and Quality Defect Trees) to prevent errors from happening again.
  • Collaboration & Project Ownership: Be the Main Contact: Act as the primary liaison between the Quality department, business units, and Cotality teams to resolve defects and guide error-proofing efforts. Drive Projects Forward: Own project schedules, action items, and deadlines for our AI initiatives. Report to Leadership: Keep management informed with regular updates on defect resolutions, AI performance, and project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years related experience in Quality Assurance, Risk, or Loan Operations (college education may count for related experience).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for reporting, presentations, and the ability to translate complex AI findings into actionable business insights.
  • High aptitude in critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including statistical analytical skills to navigate data sets and evaluate if AI "confidence" matches actual accuracy.
  • Able to hold teams and individuals accountable to defects, action items, and changes in the process through effective professional influence.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks/projects, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus
