About the role

We are seeking a forward-thinking Professional, Quality Management who is passionate about AI to bridge the gap between artificial intelligence and loan operations. The role involves designing and optimizing custom AI assistants, auditing their accuracy, leading root-cause analysis, and collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI Assistants: Help create and train custom AI assistants using tools like Gemini GEMS or similar for inspecting loan files.
  • Audit the AI: Spot-check loan files already approved by the AI to catch missed errors and ensure the model maintains high accuracy.
  • Analyze Performance: Monitor AI trends, findings, and confidence scores to identify systemic risks and offer strategic recommendations to management.
  • Design Workflows: Build automated quality workflows to track performance and flag defects.
  • Manage Escalations: Create and manage protocols for handling complex loan exceptions flagged by the AI for human review.
  • Fix Root Causes: Lead deep-dive root cause analysis on high-risk defects using Lean Six Sigma tools (such as GEMBA walks and Quality Defect Trees) to prevent errors from recurring.
  • Collaboration & Project Ownership: Act as the primary liaison between the Quality department, business units, and Cotality teams to resolve defects and guide error-proofing efforts. Drive projects forward, own project schedules, action items, and deadlines for our AI initiatives. Report to leadership with regular updates on defect resolutions, AI performance, and project milestones.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance, Risk, or Loan Operations.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High aptitude in critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including statistical analytical skills.
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma and/or Root Cause Analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills to retrieve, query, and manipulate documents and spreadsheets (Microsoft Office Suite, DB Viz).

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks/projects, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

Annual Pay Range: 55,900 - 74,880 USD

Schedule

The role is hybrid with 1 day in the office and 4 days from home.
