Professional Liability Underwriting Assistant

Location: Windsor, CT (Hybrid) Business Risk Partners is a Program Administrator and Managing General Underwriting Agency focused on providing specialty commercial liability coverage for clients through a national network of Agents and Brokers. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Professional Liability Underwriting Assistant to support our underwriting team. You will help keep accounts moving from quote through renewal by handling the day-to-day processing, follow-up, and documentation that underwriters depend on. This is a hybrid role based in Windsor, CT, in a growth-focused, collaborative environment where your work matters. Key Responsibilities Support underwriters across the full policy lifecycle, including renewals, quotes, binding, and policy issuanceProcess policy changes, extensions, and non-renewal or solicitation activityFollow up with agents and brokers on open quotes and outstanding itemsPrepare and send accurate emails, documents, and policy materialsUse our systems and renewal tools to keep account records complete and currentMeet deadlines while managing a high volume of accounts Required Qualifications and Skills 3-5 years of insurance experience, preferably in professional liability or a related specialty lineWorking knowledge of policy forms, endorsements, and the policy issuance processStrong attention to detail and accuracyClear written and verbal communication with agents, brokers, and internal teamsProficiency in underwriting or policy systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, Word, and ExcelStrong organization and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environmentCustomer-focused approach with a strong sense of accountabilityAbility to work independently and as part of a team Compensation Business Risk Partners offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package within a flexible and dynamic work environment. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Windsor, CT. The salary range is $55,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience. Pursuant to Connecticut regulation, the compensation range for this position is as stated and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
