About the Role

The Kleingers Group is seeking a licensed Professional Surveyor to serve as a Project Manager in our Westerville office. This position leads and manages a team’s production of projects within budget and schedule, utilizing applicable technology and adhering to defined professional standards, company policies, and procedures. The role oversees survey work on a day-to-day basis and ensures the quality of the final product while acting as the principal communication link between the firm, the client, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Provide professional, technical, day-to-day support, guidance, and input to project team members.
Keep the team fully engaged with a focus on retention of successful employees.
Stay informed about legislative, technical, and professional topics affecting the survey group.
Regularly and effectively communicate with the Department Director.
Conduct and oversee project planning and analysis.
Serve as the primary client contact as needed.
Assist the Director in business development efforts, including presentations, interviews, and networking events to showcase technical expertise.
Promote other internal service lines (engineering design, landscaping design, roadway/transportation design) to existing and potential clients.
Review, sign, and seal survey plats or reports prepared in accordance with the law.
Ensure QA/QC of all team work products.
Meet or exceed financial and performance metrics.
Provide recommendations to improve the production process.
Write proposals for survey-related projects.
Assign projects and oversee accuracy, timeliness, and time entry.
Teach and explain methodologies to others.

Requirements

Current Ohio Professional Survey License is required.
Minimum of 5 consecutive years of surveying experience, including 2 years successfully leading production and coordinating technical activities.
Ability to identify and solve complex survey problems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extremely detail-oriented and accurate.
