About the role

The PLS will work with Sunrise Engineering's team in Northern Utah, utilizing the latest technology such as Trimble GPS & Robots, AutoCAD Civil3D, DJI UAVs, and Leica Scanning platforms. They will collaborate with office staff to complete projects, maintain and develop client relationships, prepare proposals for new opportunities, track performance metrics, and oversee various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Track and review key performance indicators for the department
  • Oversight on a variety of projects

Requirements

  • PPLS (Professional Land Surveyor) license for the state of Nevada
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Employee may be asked to perform tasks such as walking on uneven surfaces, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, hiking up and down steep slopes carrying up to 50 pounds of survey equipment, bending, squatting, digging monument holes, pounding in stakes and rebar monuments
  • Climb stairs, sit for extended periods of time, work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time, type/key-in data, and answer telephones frequently as needed

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess a strong background in land surveying and related fields, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management software are also preferred.
