Professional Land Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Leading and overseeing survey projects from initiation through final deliverables across transportation, commercial, residential, industrial, and energy sectors
• Managing field and office survey teams to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of work
• Reviewing plats, boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, and construction staking documentation
• Coinciding with engineers, project managers, and clients to align scope, timelines, and expectations
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and regulatory requirements in Tennessee
• Supporting business development efforts and maintaining strong client relationships
• Mentoring junior staff and contributing to the growth of the surveying team

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional land surveying experience
• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or ability to obtain licensure within 12 months
• Strong experience with boundary, ALTA, and construction surveys
• Proficiency with industry-standard survey software and data processing tools
• Prowess with managing projects and coordinating across multiple disciplines
• Strong communication skills with both clients and internal teams
• Knowledge of Tennessee surveying standards and regulations is preferred

Qualifications

• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to obtain licensure within 12 months
