Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage projects to ensure completion on time and within budget
  • Coordinate and provide expertise related to the work of field survey crews and office staff
  • Review and certify completed survey work
  • Prepare accurate computer drafted surveys, plats, topographic surveys, engineering surveys
  • Research and prepare land descriptions and maps in accordance with applicable standards

Minimum Knowledge/Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Surveying Engineering, Land Surveying, or Construction Management with Land Survey Specialization or comparable
  • Certified as a Professional Land Surveyor in Missouri and/or Illinois
  • 5+ years of experience in land surveying
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations/calculations
  • Competence to understand and interpret plans, and resolve boundary surveys
  • High level of personal integrity, ethics, and professionalism
  • Proficiency with general office software
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Capacity to develop and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and coworkers

Physical Qualifications

  • Primarily office work with the possibility of some occasional field work
  • Ability to type and/or use a computer for extended periods of time
  • Sufficient visual ability to focus attention on extended use of electronic documents and software
  • Ability to walk, stand and sit for extended periods
  • Strong physical ability to walk long distances through a variety of terrains, lift and transport up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods
  • Demonstrate flexibility and/or agility, as well as hand dexterity to operate equipment/tools
  • Willingness to endure a variety of weather conditions, as well as possible exposures to poisonous plants, insects, snakes, and animals

Pay

Starting Salary Range: $65,000-80,000
