Responsibilities

• Completing small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects (project length can range from two hours to two days)
• Making recommendations and managing expectations with customers about the scope of work and costs
• Creating life-long customers by delivering a great experience that wows repeat customers, following the Mr. Handyman Way

Performance Metrics

• Customer Satisfaction (NPS): Encourage customers to complete a survey to rate their satisfaction; high response and satisfaction rates are required
• Revenue Target: Find additional ways to be of service to the customer once on-site
• Effective Billing Rate: Invoice appropriately, source needed materials, and collect payment from the customer
• Recall Percentage: Ensure work is done correctly the first time, as all work is guaranteed for one year

Requirements

• Live in or near our area
• 7+ years’ experience as a paid handyman
• Own your own tools
• Valid driver's license and be insurable for driving our vehicle
• Pass a background and driving record check
• Able to lift 50 pounds independently
• Able to safely work at heights and overhead for extended periods
• Maintain a professional appearance and care for your company-provided vehicle
• Strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following:
  • Carpentry
  • Interior & exterior painting
  • Drywall work (minor and major repairs)
  • Light plumbing and electrical
  • Floor installation
  • Ability to "figure it out"
  • Familiarity with building codes

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 to $30.00, dependent on your experience as a professional handyman and your expertise with other home repair and maintenance projects.
