About the role

The Mendocino-Lake Community College District is seeking a Professional Expert to support the functions of Handshake and Wingspan. This is a temporary, non-continuing position open until filled.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system expertise in Handshake and Wingspan
  • Act as point of contact for Handshake and Wingspan
  • Support front end users of Handshake and Wingspan

Requirements

  • Must meet Human Resources guidelines for qualified hiring, including a Live Scan background check and completion of TB test.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience in supporting student and institutional success using Handshake and Wingspan.
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must have knowledge of higher education systems and student services.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Handshake and Wingspan systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary of $30.00 per hour, subject to Ed Code 88003 authorization. The position is 20 hours per week.

Conditions of Employment

  • In accordance with Federal Law, all employees must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must be fingerprinted through DOJ and FBI and have background clearance.
  • Must take a TB test (once hired and every four years thereafter).
  • Within 6 months of employment, must complete required District trainings such as Sexual Harassment Prevention.
