Professional Engineer, Civil / Transportation | Bring Your Expertise; We'll Teach You to Design Airports
About the role
We’re looking for a professional civil engineer to work alongside a team of aviation enthusiasts. Whether you consider yourself a seasoned airport engineer or not, many of the skills that make civil engineers successful in aviation are transferable from surface transportation, municipal, and site development projects. Most of our team members started their careers outside aviation before discovering the fascinating world of airport and airfield infrastructure design.
Our team includes experienced airport engineers, planners, and technical specialists who are passionate about sharing their expertise, mentoring teammates, and helping others grow. We value your curiosity and eagerness to learn, your ability to collaborate across disciplines and geographies, and your passion to design solutions for whatever engineering challenge is presented. We’ll provide the support, technical guidance, and hands-on project experience needed to build a rewarding career in this unique field — from runway rehabilitation and airfield improvements to airport planning, development, and FAA standards.
At TKDA, you're more than an employee — you're an owner. As a 100% employee-owned engineering, architecture, and planning firm, every project you help deliver contributes directly to the long-term success of the company and your fellow employee-owners. Our collaborative culture encourages curiosity, innovation, and professional growth while providing opportunities to build the career you want.
