Job Overview
The ideal candidate will be based in Northern Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, or East Texas and willing to support the South Central Region.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed forensic investigations of structural failures, collapses, and construction defects.
- Perform site inspections and gather relevant data to support forensic analysis.
- Utilize engineering principles and practices to analyze and assess structural issues.
- Prepare clear and concise technical reports outlining findings and conclusions.
- Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, and standards related to structural engineering.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one state.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in forensic settings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications
- Experience with forensic investigation techniques and methodologies.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
