About the role
The Professional Development Manager II plays a key role in designing, delivering, and managing high-impact professional learning experiences for K12 partners. This position collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to create innovative training content across in-person and virtual environments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and partner needs. The role also oversees multiple professional development projects, serves as a liaison across stakeholders, and may provide guidance or supervision to junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Complete all duties assigned to the K12 Professional Development Manager I.
- Partner, collaborate, and communicate with various internal and external contacts or customers to develop original professional learning experiences and content for K12 partners.
- Conduct and create professional development for in-person, synchronous virtual, and asynchronous virtual settings.
- Meet with both internal and external professional development partners.
- Manage the flow of activities and act as liaison for all professional development projects.
- May act in a supervisory capacity to support the functions of the educational development and support team.
- Manage multiple projects designed to provide professional learning to K12 educational partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a related discipline (education, social science, etc.) from a regionally accredited institution.
- 5+ years’ teaching and some educational leadership experience.
- Documented experience in the development and facilitation of professional learning experiences.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background investigation.
Skills
- Proficiency with computer, telephone, and electronic office equipment.
- MS Office Suite.
- Adobe Pro.
- CRM software.
- Project management software such as Monday.com, Microsoft Project, Slack, or other.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Assists department head in monitoring work output for Professional Development Manager I or Coordinator I and II positions.
