Professional Development Coordinator

Vibra Hospital of Northern California, located in Redding, CA, is a 50-bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32-bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate the education and development needs of the facility with an emphasis on clinical/staff competency.
• Ensure programs comply with current federal, state, and local standards, skilled nursing facility guidelines, regulations, and the Joint Commission where applicable.
• Generate and maintain evidence of competency and education documentation for facility staff.
• Develop and assist with department-specific and/or staff-specific education, orientation, and provide teaching and coaching on facility practices and policies to all employees.
• Coordinate student placement with external agencies.
• Share responsibility for effective onboarding and orientation of new staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in a program with a completion date within 2 years.
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• One (1) year of professional development experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Pay

Posted Compensation Range: $34.00/hr to $44.87/hr
