Professional Civil Engineer

About the role

Artheon is seeking a skilled and motivated Professional Civil Engineer to join our team in Neptune, NJ. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in land development, infrastructure design, and municipal engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead project design from concept through completion
• Develop civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
• Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
• Review planning and zoning board applications
• Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs
• Attend project meetings and municipal board meetings
• Create engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support project design and decision-making

Qualifications

• Experience: 4–8 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in municipal capital improvement projects
• Licensing: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus or a willingness to obtain it
