Responsibilities

• Lead project design from concept through completion
• Develop civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
• Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards
• Review planning and zoning board applications
• Work closely with project managers, surveyors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs
• Attend project meetings and municipal board meetings
• Create engineering reports, feasibility studies, and calculations to support project design and decision-making

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in municipal capital improvement projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software; knowledge of stormwater management software is a plus
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus or a willingness to obtain it
