About the role
Kingsford Manufacturing in Belle, Missouri is proud to be a producer of 100% American-made charcoal briquets. Kingsford is the leading manufacturer of charcoal in the United States and our charcoal has become synonymous with authentic grilling, good food and most importantly, good times.
Responsibilities
- The Production Worker is responsible for the processing, manufacture, packaging, storing and distribution of charcoal briquettes.
- The Production Worker may be assigned to work in any of these areas of the plant: Retort, Manufacturing, Packaging, and Warehouse.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment by following safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Ability to read and understand safety signs and labels.

Pay
The starting hourly rate is $21.94 plus $0.80 shift differential on the night shift. After qualifying in the role, the base pay rate increases to $22.61 per hour.
Schedule
Work Schedule – 12-hour shifts 14-day rotation (2 weeks of day shift, followed by 2 weeks of night shift) 2-2-3 schedule
