Responsibilities

  • Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
  • Ensure product conforms to specifications and minimize rework and/or inedible product.
  • Operate taping machines, shrink wrap machines, pallet jacks, trash and recycling compactors.
  • Perform standard operating procedures of production and inspection functions as directed.
  • Complete all necessary technical and soft skills training as directed.
  • Return from breaks in a timely manner and notify lead/supervisor before leaving the department.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Attend all department and company scheduled meetings.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Immediately report all accidents and deficiencies to the lead/supervisor.
  • Ensure safety devices are installed and working properly.
  • Suggest improvements and continuously improve the quality of all support activities.
  • Perform all required duties within OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Ensure products are correctly labeled and identified for proper disposition.
  • Maintain FIFO (first in – first out) records for products used.
  • Raw Material Handling:
    • Add ingredients to batch and verify against formulations in Blending system.
    • Move meat into machine(s), combos, or v-mags using appropriate tools and techniques.
    • Load meat racks, push meat trucks from one area to another, visually monitoring meat for quality.
    • Maintain accurate records, washing and sanitizing carts, racks, and trucks.
  • Ready to Eat Product Handling:
    • Count and place packages in appropriate caddies, maintaining accurate records.
    • Wash and sanitize carts, racks, and trucks.
    • Handle finished product, placing it continuously in trays or assembly lines for shipment.
    • Make pallets by stacking boxes, preparing pallets with cardboard wrapping, manually shrink wrapping, and moving pallets with a manual pallet jack.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: None.

Preferred: Knowledge of warehouse and assembly line experience is a plus.

Pay

The starting rate for this role is $17.50 per hour. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience.

Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Work Environment

  • Plant/office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels.
  • Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet/slippery floors.
