Production Worker-Operator

About the Role

This position ensures product is manufactured to meet quality standards, oversees the assigned area, and reports any issues to the lead or supervisor immediately.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety policies and procedures
• Maintain regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility
• Feed production lines by picking up product and placing them onto a conveyor
• Perform daily safety checks on assigned machines to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Notify the line supervisor of any safety, quality, or maintenance problems
• Move completed product onto a rack and perform visual inspection for defects before placing onto a pallet
• Ensure the correct amount of product is placed onto a pallet
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Able to read, comprehend, and follow simple instructions
• 1 year of general labor experience in a similar setting (experience with roll formers, punch presses, or brake presses preferred)

Skills

• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Effective communication skills
• Team player with a reliable and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Exposure to uncomfortable sound or noise levels
• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes indoors or outdoors
• Prolonged standing or remaining in a stationary position
• Complete repetitive movements
• Bend and/or twist
• Lift, move, or transport items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
• Work around dust, chemicals, and other substances in various environmental conditions
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, and hardhat protection)
